If you’ve ever doubted the impact of entertainment on Nigerian students, what a student of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) Ile Ife, did recently will definitely change your mind.

For her final year project, Olosunde Aderonke Oyindamola focused her research on Funke Akindele’s English in the popular TV series Jenifa’s Diary.

Seeing that Oyinda is a student in the department of linguistics, one understands why she made her unusual choice.
